About Container Homes

Please read our list of frequently asked questions below. If you still don't see what you're looking for, feel free to email us at

What is a container home?

Shipping container homes are single- or multi-family residences that use new or used shipping containers as their primary material. The containers, built for holding cargo on transoceanic crossings, are made of heavy-duty, corrosion-resistant steel.

Why use containers?

  • They can be more cost effective than traditional housing- requiring less building materials and labor.

  • They're quick to construct- our container homes are build in 3-4 months

  • They're modular which makes them easy to modify with 20 ft and 40 ft shipping containers

  • They're environmentally friendly due to being constructed out of recycled shipping containers

  • They're safe and durable- made from self-healing, weather withstanding steel and originally designed to protect precious cargo during transport in any harsh weather conditions (hot, cold, wet, etc.)
